Patterns!

This is Vicki - Jody's daughter.  It's fun getting back into quilting since my kids are older and I can get supplies from my mom!  I also find it interesting comparing the things we make.  My mom seems to do more traditional quilts while I am drawn to the more modern patterns, hair bows for my girls, table toppers and buntings.

I saw these patterns this week and it made me think of this comparison between my mom and me.  If you'd like to try them out yourself you can purchase them or read more info at the links below.

Halloween Table Topper

We adore this pattern!  It's something unique but extremely easy.  It's made with one yard of fabric and 60 degree triangles.  We did this Halloween one but also did a poppies one.  There's so much you could do with this!

Halloween Table Runner

Vicki got the table runner finished.  I absolutely love this Halloween fabric.  There are so many options with it.  I really like that it incorporates some green and purple with the black and orange.  There are witches, cats, bats, spiders, webs as well as some solid colors to blend.  Be on the lookout for the matching banner/bunting soon!

Fall Projects

The weather has changed here in mid-Missouri this weekend and we're finally getting a look at some cooler temps.  That means Fall is just around the corner and it's put us in the mood for some Fall projects!

Vicki has started this Halloween table runner for a friend.  She'll be making a matching bunting too.  It's turning out really cute I may just have to make one for myself!
