6.12.16

I haven't been doing as much the past week or so because I got my wisdom teeth out last week and also have had some work to catch up on.

But here is what I have been doing...

This is the 1-inch block Mario Bros quilt I've been doing for a long time now.  But slowly making some progress lately because my daughter likes to help by getting each row ready to sew.  Can you see the mushroom forming?

Decided to make my hexi quilt only pinks and purples, although it's mostly purples.  The yellow and greens were sticking out and the most fabric I had to pull from my scraps was purple so there it was.

I got this gorgeous pink and white fabric and decided I wanted to try a triangle quilt.  Still need to square up and add a border.  I'm thinking about quilting this one myself on my regular machine but we'll see.

This was a custom order I got back from the quilter Friday so am trying to get this binding finished up so I can get it shipped.  I have had it since February.  Whoops!
Happy Sewing!

5.28.16

I really, really want to keep track of all my quilting projects so I'm going to try to keep this blog up to date.

Here are some projects I've completed recently...

This one I made for my daughter's preschool teacher.  She jokingly asked if I would make her one and I did!  It's at the quilter's now.

This one was too cute with the deer and bears and birds.  This was a custom order that needs to get complete but is at the quilter's still.

These adorable pink fairy fabrics are going into my very first triangle quilt.  I have three rows done so far and love it!  This is my current project.

These gold and gray fabrics I was questioning.  They just aren't my typical color schemes but once I got them put together I actually kinda liked it.

I have also started my first Hexi, or English Paper Piecing, quilt.  I love doing hand work and this is great for that.  So far I have about 8 diamonds complete and should start putting them together soon.

This pattern was quick and easy and I loved this fabric line called Horizon.  This is also at the quilter's right now.

I finally did something with some of my Little Black Dress fabrics and then donated it to our school dinner auction.  It went for $220 which isn't too shabby.
